Select-able Bias Control

Select-able Bias Switch – Select Vintage or Modern Biasing.
Vintage is Cathode Biased, which is like the late 50’s early 60’s amplifiers. When switched this direction it sounds like a loudness control on your stereo, the sound is bigger and deeper, it is also about 20 % less output then Grid Bias. Cathode Bias is the sound you love of that old Supro or Gibson amp.
When you switch the bias control to Modern that is Grid Bias, Grid Bias came about in the late 50’s during the watt wars of the different amplifier companies, Grid Bias allows the amp to have more output and more clean output, it is definitely a different sound then Cathode Bias. Each one has its place and that is why we wanted to give you both.
